I doubt anyone is surprised to hear that this has been one of the hottest summers on record, so it is a great time for you to get up to speed on new FDA Guidelines for summer time heat protection.
One new change came in June, when the FDA issued new regulations for over-the-counter sunscreen that established a standard test for determining if sunscreens protect users from both UVA and UVB radiation.
Fun Fact: A “broad spectrum” label on SPF 15 or higher passes that test and protects against sunburn and other sun damage.
