Spring Cleaning for Your Transportation Hub: Heavy Traffic means Heavy Cleaning

Yuck! Muddy boots, dreary days and the itch to do something with your spare time….Sound familiar? In high traffic areas in your house, it is time to grin and bare it and start a deep clean of the house.  There is no better time to invest in tackling this than during spring cleaning time.  The weather is beautiful.  It is not too hot or too cold so it is just right to give your home a clean facelift.  The sun may be shining brightly so you can see spots on your windows or areas in your home that are in urgent need of a little bit of tender love and care.

During the spring months, people have caught the fever, fresh out of the cold winter months and are more apt to be on the go.  Families are spending more time outside and then may track in a little bit more mud or dirt than usual, especially since the spring season typically brings a few showers along with it.

Some people may opt to pay someone to tackle their deep spring cleaning for them.  There are numerous businesses that are well experienced in coming into the home and performing deep cleanings on fabric upholstery and flooring.  Floors are a major area where we do not realize that simply running the vacuum over it just doesn’t cut it.  Rent a steam cleaner and get those highly traveled carpeted paths in your home nice and sudsy.  If you have other types of flooring, call in a professional to clean grout or tile and refresh the area to its original condition.

Also consider other duties in the house.  It is a good time to call in other professionals to ensure that air conditioners are working correctly.  It is also prime time to check for any instances of mold or some other gross substance.  It is also a good time to clean out other areas, getting rid of junk you no longer use and to organize.  While you may have a hard time finding motivation to do some deep cleaning this spring, think of how good it will make you feel when it is all done.
